almost out of petrol
so, having completed a very hungover day I set off from the office in my little Nissan Sunny runabout (see a picture of the beast) with directions to find the easiest petrol station to find. I find it OK but the only thing is its been shut down and there hoardings all over the place.
I am now on vapour - who's ever heard of a car hire company giving you a car with no fuel! I'll be honest, I was bricking it at this point...I thought I had barely made it to work let alone get back from work. I resolved to head back to the Seef and just cross my fingers. I would then only get back in the car with either someone from the hotel or Danny from the office who could take me straight to a pfs.
On the way home I passed a little garage and the ordeal was over...altough I did pull up to the pump on the worng side cos I didnt know which side the cap was on....much to the amusement of the indian attendants. Now wait for it....a 1.6 nissan sunny, completed filled for 2.5 Bahrain Dinars (thats 4 pounds sterling).
Got home and finally had a chance to chill out and sort my apartment out. A bit of shopping for provisions, some tv watching, good chats with Mum and Dad and Laura and off to bed. I thank you.
